Un nuevo estudio publicado en <em>Nature Communications<\/em>, en el marco del proyecto INSIGNIA-UE, analizaron 2.500 muestras de polen recogidas en 310 colmenares de los 27 pa\u00edses de la UE durante 2023. Al identificar las plantas de las que dependen las abejas y relacionarlas con los patrones de temperatura y precipitaciones, los investigadores evaluaron c\u00f3mo los futuros escenarios clim\u00e1ticos podr\u00edan remodelar el forraje de las abejas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Las conclusiones son contundentes: el aumento de las temperaturas y la disminuci\u00f3n de las precipitaciones amenazan con llevar a muchas especies vegetales clave m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de sus l\u00edmites clim\u00e1ticos. El efecto combinado del calor y la sequ\u00eda supone el mayor peligro, sobre todo en las regiones meridionales y mediterr\u00e1neas, ya propensas a veranos secos. El norte de Europa puede salir algo mejor parado, pero no es inmune al calentamiento a largo plazo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La p\u00e9rdida de diversidad floral podr\u00eda debilitar la nutrici\u00f3n de las abejas, reducir el crecimiento de las colonias y alterar los calendarios de floraci\u00f3n de los que dependen.
