Es la polinizaci\u00f3n. Investigaciones recientes destacan la creciente importancia de los polinizadores y la tecnolog\u00eda para mejorar la producci\u00f3n de caf\u00e9 en todo el mundo. Un estudio realizado en Etiop\u00eda (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s42690-025-01637-x\" title=\"\">Jilo<em> et al.<\/em>, 2025<\/a><\/span>) en <em>Coffea arabica<\/em> muestra que los polinizadores, especialmente las abejas mel\u00edferas, aumentan significativamente el cuajado de los frutos y la producci\u00f3n de semillas, aunque la planta pueda autopolinizarse. En parcelas experimentales, los cafetos polinizados por abejas mel\u00edferas produjeron hasta 70% m\u00e1s semillas que los no polinizados por insectos, lo que confirma el valor econ\u00f3mico de integrar colonias de abejas en los cafetales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Del mismo modo, las investigaciones realizadas en Brasil (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/journals\/bee-science\/articles\/10.3389\/frbee.2025.1644205\/full\" title=\"\">Dias Ramos <em>et al.<\/em>, 2026<\/a><\/span>) descubrieron que la polinizaci\u00f3n suplementaria por abejas sin aguij\u00f3n aumentaba el rendimiento del caf\u00e9 en 67% en las ramas situadas cerca de colonias manejadas. El estudio tambi\u00e9n examin\u00f3 el impacto de la exposici\u00f3n a plaguicidas, detectando bajos residuos en las flores pero sin efectos negativos importantes en el desarrollo de las colonias en las condiciones probadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Al mismo tiempo, los cient\u00edficos recurren a la inteligencia artificial para comprender mejor la gen\u00e9tica de los polinizadores y las tendencias de sus poblaciones (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bio-conferences.org\/articles\/bioconf\/abs\/2026\/06\/bioconf_picobnst2025_01019\/bioconf_picobnst2025_01019.html\" title=\"\">Priyambodo <\/a><\/span><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bio-conferences.org\/articles\/bioconf\/abs\/2026\/06\/bioconf_picobnst2025_01019\/bioconf_picobnst2025_01019.html\" title=\"\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">et al.<\/span><\/a><\/em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bio-conferences.org\/articles\/bioconf\/abs\/2026\/06\/bioconf_picobnst2025_01019\/bioconf_picobnst2025_01019.html\" title=\"\">, 2026<\/a><\/span>).
