Un estudio italiano, realizado por investigadores del CREA y publicado en <em>PLoS One<\/em>, ha demostrado que es posible detectar la presencia de al menos ocho agentes pat\u00f3genos buscando su ADN o ARN en la miel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los an\u00e1lisis moleculares efectuados en 679 muestras de miel, procedentes de las veinte regiones italianas, detectaron la presencia de DWV, CBPV, ABPV, BQCV, KBV, <em>Nosema ceranae<\/em>, <em>Crithidia mellificae<\/em>, y <em>Lotmaria passim<\/em> En el 97,5% de los casos, se trata de un m\u00e9todo de investigaci\u00f3n muy interesante, ya que no es invasivo ni cruento y puede realizarse a partir de una peque\u00f1a muestra de miel. Como aseguran los investigadores italianos, este m\u00e9todo no compromete en absoluto la calidad de la miel, ni para las abejas ni para el consumo humano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ser\u00e1n necesarios m\u00e1s estudios para comprender c\u00f3mo la presencia de ADN o ARN pat\u00f3genos puede vincularse a una enfermedad en curso o utilizarse para estimar la carga de pat\u00f3genos en la colmena.
