Pero, \u00bfqu\u00e9 papel desempe\u00f1a el prop\u00f3leo en la apiterapia? \u00bfY qu\u00e9 se necesita para mejorar a\u00fan m\u00e1s su uso?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Estas cuestiones centraron la ponencia del profesor Jos\u00e9 Mauricio Sforc\u00edn, de la Universidad de S\u00e3o Paulo (Brasil), en el \u00faltimo Congreso de Apimondia, celebrado en Copenhague.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El prop\u00f3leo se ha utilizado no s\u00f3lo externamente sino tambi\u00e9n internamente para tratar una gran variedad de enfermedades debido a la abundancia de sus componentes. El prop\u00f3leo se ha indicado para los s\u00edntomas de la gripe y el resfriado, los trastornos cut\u00e1neos (heridas, quemaduras y acn\u00e9), la psoriasis, las enfermedades otorrinolaringol\u00f3gicas, ginecol\u00f3gicas y proctol\u00f3gicas, la prevenci\u00f3n de la caries y el tratamiento de la gingivitis o la estomatitis. El prop\u00f3leo tambi\u00e9n se ha estudiado en la diabetes, el asma, el VIH, etc. Se utiliza para la inflamaci\u00f3n cr\u00f3nica y para tratar infecciones causadas por pat\u00f3genos resistentes a los antibi\u00f3ticos. En general, el prop\u00f3leo es seguro y tambi\u00e9n puede ser consumido por personas sanas o pacientes, sin afectar al efecto de los medicamentos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pero la normalizaci\u00f3n del prop\u00f3leo y su uso en apiterapia siguen siendo objeto de debate.
