Un estudio reciente, presentado en el 49\u00ba Congreso Apimondia de Copenhague, examin\u00f3 esta cuesti\u00f3n en tres parques nacionales italianos. Los investigadores compararon el polen recolectado por abejas mel\u00edferas manejadas <em>(Apis mellifera<\/em>) y por varios grupos de abejas silvestres, entre ellas <em>Bombus<\/em>, <em>Lasioglossum<\/em>, <em>Andrena<\/em>, <em>Megachile<\/em> y <em>Colletes<\/em>.<br><br>Durante el verano y el oto\u00f1o se recogieron muestras de polen de abejas mel\u00edferas y silvestres. Se analizaron mediante microscop\u00eda palinol\u00f3gica y metabarcodificaci\u00f3n de ADN para identificar especies vegetales y evaluar el solapamiento en el uso del polen.<br><br>Los resultados revelaron una red tr\u00f3fica muy especializada y, en general, un bajo solapamiento de los recursos de polen entre las abejas mel\u00edferas y las silvestres. Esto sugiere que las distintas especies suelen depender de fuentes de polen distintas.
