Apimondia was honoured to participate in the VarroaResistenz Conference, held on 18\u201319 April in Warsaw, Poland, which brought together experts, researchers, and beekeepers dedicated to addressing one of the most significant challenges in modern apiculture \u2013 the varroa mite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representing Apimondia, Acting President \u041f\u0438\u0442\u0435\u0440 \u041a\u043e\u0437\u043c\u0443\u0441<\/strong> attended the event and contributed to discussions on the current state of beekeeping, sharing experiences from Slovenia and the broader international context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference provided a valuable platform for the exchange of knowledge, experience, and ideas, focusing on key topics such as bee resistance to varroa and the future development of sustainable beekeeping practices. Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening collaboration between countries, promoting sustainable approaches, and improving the transfer of knowledge from research into practical beekeeping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was organized within the broader framework of the Varroa Resistenz project (https:\/\/varroaresistenzprojekt.eu\/<\/a>), which aims to promote innovative and sustainable approaches to varroa management across Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presence of international and national representatives, including the President of the Polish Beekeeping Association (Polski Zwi\u0105zek Pszczelarski), highlighted the importance of this event for the global beekeeping community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference was co-organized by Fundacja Apikultura, with the initiative led by Varroaresistenz 2033 Polska Stowarzyszenie. It served as an important meeting point for all those working towards healthier bee colonies and more responsible approaches to varroa control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
