Prior to this, the researchers tested the toxicity of the infusion in honey bees and its effects on the histopathology of the bees\u2019 midguts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The results showed that the infusion was safe for honey bees and had a positive effect against <em>Nosema<\/em>. The infusion significantly reduced <em>Nosema<\/em> spore loads, with an efficacy similar to that of fumagillin when compared with the control group.
