Following open letter from European scientists y call from NGOs, independent human rights experts appointed and mandated by the United Nations Human Rights Council have also spoken out against the Omnibus regulation – specifically the Food and Feed Safety Simplification Omnibus package. In the document, four Special Rapporteurs focusing on human rights, food, the environment, and rural areas, have highlighted their concerns regarding the new European rules and their potential impact on the health of farmers and rural populations.
