For many people, the transition from military service to civilian life can be difficult, especially from a psychological perspective. Beekeeping can play an important role in helping veterans in this change.

Two organizations, one in the United States and one in Ukraine, are using beekeeping as a tool to support the reintegration of veterans into civilian society. The American organization is Hives for Heroes, while the Ukrainian one is Help on Bee Wings. Both have the same goal: helping veterans to build a better future, with honey bees serving as a pathway to do it.
