How is beekeeping in the Arab world? How do Arab beekeepers work and manage their hives? What are the strengths and weaknesses of the sector in these countries?

A new study, recently published in the Journal of Apicultural Research, provides an overview of the current situation. analysing the biotic threats and the human abilities, using a specific index, the Beekeepers’ Behavioral Index (BBI) to value performances, knowledges and skills of beekeepers in 12 countries, from North Africa to the Middle East.
