What about architecture and bee research? This time we are not talking about comb structures or the geometry of wax foundations, but about the new Honey Bee Research Centre (HBRC) facility, recently opened at the University of Guelph in Canada.
Designed by Moriyama Teshima Architects, the HBRC is a 14,000-square-foot facility dedicated to pollinator health, bringing together scientific research, commercial honey production, education, and public engagement.
The building has also been celebrated by Canadian Architect magazine and brings together beauty, functionality, science, and education, all with a focus on bees.
