How do pollinators use floral resources? Take part in the observations!

BEE-GAURDS project aims to strengthen the resilience of European beekeeping and protect pollinators in a changing climate. Funded by the EU’s Horizon Europe programme, the four-year initiative brings together 27 partners from 16 countries, including research institutes, beekeepers, associations and technology companies.

BEE-GAURDS is also a citizen science project because beekeepers, farmers and citizens actively contribute to research by collecting data, participating in field studies and sharing knowledge.

And now a new citizen science activity is starting, dedicated to observing interactions between plants and pollinators.

If you would like to participate in this activity, it’s easy. Just a few minutes of observation are enough to help understand how pollinators use floral resources, assess the potential effects of competition between managed and wild species and contribute to the protection of biodiversity. And you can win also a prize at the end of the project.
