Representatives from Türkiye and Ukraine met in Datça for a two-day workshop organized by FAO to advance sustainable beekeeping and strengthen bilateral cooperation. The meeting brought together public institutions, researchers, producers and companies to review studies on apiculture policies, value chains and education systems in both countries. Participants validated findings and discussed joint strategies to improve product quality, expand market access and align sector standards with European and global frameworks. The initiative also highlighted opportunities for shared training, technical tools and knowledge exchange to modernize the sector, support rural livelihoods and build more resilient and sustainable beekeeping.
