Eirú, the Start-Up that Using Pollinators, Rewarded in Argentina

An innovative start up developed in Argentina is using artificial intelligence, satellite imagery, and pollinators to measure and predict biodiversity in real time and at scale. This is Eirú, a new company founded in 2023 and that has as CTO and co-founder Fernanda Santibáñez and as CEO Lucas Alejandro Garibaldi, from National University of Rio Negro and chairman of the scientific commission of Apimondia for Pollination and Bee Flora.

To date, Eirú collaborates with corporations, governments, and organisations to measure and manage biodiversity both in agricultural and conservation and restoration sites. Now Eirú won the Perfil Prize 2026 for the best contribution from the private sector in Argentina.
