Глифосат изменяет экспрессию генов у медоносных пчел

A laboratory study conducted in Brazil, and published in the Journal of Apicultural Research, has analyzed the effect of glyphosate on genes expression in Africanizated honey bees.

Researchers feed forager bees with lethal and sublethal doses of glyphosate and examined its effect on bees trascriptomes. Both groups – feed with lethal and sublethal doses – showed changes in expression of genes mainly involved in nervous system function after one hour, and additional changes in the expression of genes related to the immune system after four hours.

In conclusion, glyphosate, under laboratory conditions, alters genes expression even at sublethal doses in honey bees.
