Дрожжи против нозематоза

Could a yeast cure nosemosis in honey bees? According to a new study conducted in South Korea, yes. Researchers tested the efficacy of Lachancea fermentati, a yeast isolated from the midgut of honey bees, against Vairimorpha ceranae. By feeding honey bees this yeast, they reported a reduction in infection comparable to, or even greater than, that achieved with fumagillin. These results open up new possibilities for nosemosis control.
