Кофейная гуща против американского гнильца?

Can coffee be effective against American foulbrood? Maybe, according to a recent study carried out in Argentina and published in the Journal of Apicultural Research. The researchers found that spent coffee ground extract, loaded onto particular nanofibers, can inhibit Paenibacillus larvae. The nanofibers enabled a controlled release of the extracts and were safe for honey bees, which could consume them and spread them throughout the hive.

At the moment, these are preliminary findings, but they are interesting for an innovative approach to American foulbrood prevention.
