Une nouvelle espèce d'abeille sans dard découverte en Inde

A new subterranean stingless bee species has been discovered in Wokha District, India. Named Tetragonula yikhumensis, it is the largest stingless bee species in the country and the second subterranean species recorded in India. According to the local media Nagaland Post, the discovery followed three years of research conducted by researchers from Nagaland University and the Zoological Survey of India. The discovery and characterization of this new species were published on 22 July in Sociobiology.
