The scientific journal Frontiers in Bee Science has published a Research Topic celebrating women scientists who are redefining the frontiers of apibology, from studies of stingless bees in Brazilian coffee crops to analyses of honey bee waggle dances in Appalachia. The publication is presented as a book, bringing together ten papers that are now also available to readers in e-book format. As highlighted in the editorial introducing the collection, the women scientists featured in this volume are extending the work of pioneering women in apiculture, as well as Eva Crane and Anna Maurizio, leading the knowledge ahaed.
