On 9 July 2026, the new All-Ireland Pollinator Plan 2026–2030 was launched at the National Botanic Gardens in Dublin. This five-year roadmap aims to transform the landscape to support pollinating insects such as wild bees, hoverflies, and moths, as well as wider biodiversity. Supported by the authorities and organisations of Ireland and Northern Ireland, the overall vision of the AIPP 2026–2030 is an island with pockets of nature every 200 metres, providing food, shelter, and safety for pollinators.
