Specifically, the mite has been detected on Apis dorsata in Sri Lanka, Laos, and Malaysia; on أبيس ميليفيرا in Russia, Georgia, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Myanmar, South Korea, and Papua New Guinea; and on both bee species in India, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. In Pakistan, the mite was detected in 2021, but the host species was not specified.
