The members of the APIMONDIA Working Group on Goof Veterinary Practices on Apiculture (GVPA), hold their 3rd meeting on February 26ال, online.
The discussions of the group focused on activities which could advance knowledge and awareness of veterinary medicine within the field of honey bee health, public health and animal welfare.
Since last meeting in December 2025, the group has been working on choosing specific activities matching its purpose. During this 3rd meeting several topics were identified in which the members of the group will work in teams, to produce Policy Briefs to be shared and discussed with APIMONDIA, in order to be released before the 20 May, World Bee Day.

- Honey Bee Animal Welfare Framework for WOAH
- “Myth Busters” Evidence-Based Clarification in Veterinary medicine and Apiculture
- Research Gaps in Veterinary Medicine Mapping Areas That Need More Data
- Forensic veterinary medicine, Environmental toxicology and ONE HEALTH Core Action
- Varroa pharmacoresistance to hard (synthetic) acaricides
