First Lady Melania Trump announced – throught the official presidential website – the expansion of the White House honey program with the addition of a newly installed and fully functioning beehive shaped as the White House. Hand-crafted by a local artisan in the image of the US presidential residence, the new hive will add two new bee colonies to the existing apiary with other two colonies settled in the garden, expanding the White House beekeeping program began in 2009.

A program useful both for the popularity of the honey bees and for the US First Lady.
